We recently had the honor of welcoming interior design students from Temasek Polytechnic to our Admira Library. It was a day filled with learning and inspiration, highlighted by the presence of two distinguished guest speakers: David Tham from StudioNorm Design Consultants and Kat Tan from D Editors Pte Ltd.
David Tham, the founder of Studio Norm, shared his extensive experience in bespoke design solutions in furniture, furnishings, and interior architecture, particularly in the hospitality and corporate sectors. His passion for reaching a diverse audience and his role as an adjunct lecturer at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and Temasek Polytechnic Design School resonated deeply. His commitment to mentoring design start-ups and nurturing craftsmanship and commercial development in the field was particularly inspiring.
Kat Tan, founder of D Editors Pte Ltd and Honorary Secretary of the Society of Interior Designers - Singapore, brought invaluable insights and real-world perspectives to the workshop. Her openness and willingness to share knowledge, encapsulated in her belief, ”Anyone willing to learn, I‘m willing to share, regardless of how many people attending,“ garnered immense respect. Her participation significantly enriched the learning experience for everyone involved.
